Safety precautions will protect participants while in the studio.
Online recording sessions have been crucial (and very effective!) for us during the pandemic, but we know that nothing substitutes for being together in the studio. So we’re excited to re-open the studio and welcome clients back for in-person recording sessions. But it won’t be in our previous, much-loved, cozy studio. We’ll now be working from the new, beautiful, and larger Chase Studio at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center.
The new studio features all the things we loved about the previous studio – great acoustics, a relaxing vibe, and a rich setting for “behind the scenes” photos – but also includes a few significant upgrades, including more room, more background and lighting options, and new capabilities for recording video.

The studio will re–open with safety precautions in place
We can’t wait to show you the new studio, but we want to be sure that we’re maintaining a safe environment for both you and your guests as well as all of our team members. For that reason, we’ll begin with a phased approach limiting the number of participants. We’ll also require that everyone follow our safety protocol and that the studio be used only while the overall Covid-19 infection numbers for Davidson County are under certain thresholds that we have set.
Beginning next week, we will start with Phase 1, which permits only one unmasked person and no observers. Under this scenario, the interview host for a show could record from the studio while connecting with guests remotely.
Under Phase 2, we will allow up to two unmasked participants and no observers. This would allow the host to interview a single guest in the studio or for a show with two hosts to record from the studio while connecting with guests remotely.
Phase 3 would allow up to three unmasked participants and no observers. And Phase 4 would be a return to regular service.
We have not set a timeline or specific conditions for moving between phases, but we will base our decisions on how things go and how the overall Covid numbers look for Davidson County.
Safety protocol protects participants in the studio
We want our clients and team members to feel confident when they’re in the studio. We’ve put a lot of research and thought into this plan, as well as our operating and safety protocols.
The safety protocol for the studio includes:
- Masks required, except when being recorded.
- Hand sanitizer available.
- Room cleared to ventilate between sessions.
- Room cleared to ventilate if CO2 levels reach the predetermined limit.
- Number of people limited per session and per week.
- Surfaces and equipment disinfected between sessions.
- Anyone who tests positive for Covid-19 within two weeks of being in the studio must notify Relationary so that we can confidentially notify others who have been in the studio.
We’re super excited to re-open the studio for recording sessions. Our top concern remains making sure that both our team members and our clients and their guests remain safe. We believe following these protocols will allow us to use the new studio safely while the pandemic hopefully winds down.
